The underwater and coastal cleanup activities conducted around Samgilpo Port in Seosan-si, Chungcheongnam-do from 9 am to 12 am on October 13 included the Daesan Rescue Base Police Box of the Pyeongtaek Maritime Police Station, the Gyeonggi Province North Branch of the Korea Maritime Rescue Association, Seosan City Hall, and the Daesan Branch of the Marine Environment Corporation. At the event, private and marine police divers dived directly into the water and collected garbage that had settled in the seas of Seosan and Dangjin.
The participants also carried out waste purification work at the seaside near Samgilpo Port in Seosan-si.
The Daesan Rescue Base Police Box of the Pyeongtaek Maritime Police Station also conducted underwater rescue education and first aid education and training for private marine rescue teams.
